Description
W. T. Ladd is recalling a horseback ride from fifty years earlier. He rode from Dallas to Fort Worth, Texas and got a job as a dairy hand. He rose from that job to become one of the city's best known and loved business men. On the anniversary of his move to Fort Worth, Mr. Ladd was showered with letters from his old friends and grateful townsmen. He is sitting on a chair with the letters fanned out. He is dressed in a suit. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition December 29, 1941.
