Description
The High School Football State Championship game is being held at Farrington Field in Fort Worth, Texas. A crowd of 18,000 are on hand to witness the battle between the Wichita Falls Coyotes and the Temple Wildcats. Three Temple Yell Leaders too the field before kick-off to evoke laughter from the crowd. Performing a skit left to right are, Frank Thompson, Miss Jo Nell Baker and J. O. Kiser. Mr. Thompson is playing the role of "Mr. Coyote". He is dressed in a straw hat and a pinstripe suit. Miss Baker is wearing a long black skirt and a jacket with a peplum and a black hat representing "Miss State High School Championship of 1941". She has a parasol behind her head. He is wearing a hat, button-up blouse, a long skirt, and carrying an umbrella. Mr. Kiser is playing the role of "Mr. Wildcat". He is dressed in a bowler hat and a suit. Both men are holding lit cigars. All three are wearing signs with a string over their shoulders. The stands are filled with spectators and lightpoles are erected near the stands.
