Description
The High School Football State Championship game is being held at Farrington Field in Fort Worth, Texas. A crowd of 18,000 are on hand to witness the battle between the Wichita Falls Coyotes and the Temple Wildcats. For inspiration and luck, Sarah Ruth Morgan, the sixteen year-old football queen of Wichita Falls, huddles with the Coyotes. She joins the players on the field before kickoff at the start of the game and after half-time. Shown huddling on the sidelines with Sarah Ruth at the start of the game, left to right, are David Wright (14), George Grinninger (13), Charlie Hair (7), and Billy Bolling (12). The girl is wearing a mum and a dress, a long coat, and a hat. There is an audience in the stands and spectators at the edge of the field. Folding chairs are directly behind the players.
