Amateur boxers from all around the area are preparing for the 1942 Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Johnny Perales is a dynamic featherweight veteran of the Golden Gloves. Previously he qualified for the state tournament from Austin, Texas. Now that he works at the Texas Steel Manufacturing Company, he will compete in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Perales is shown in a fighting pose. He is dressed in a collared shirt, sweater, and trousers.
