Description
The high school state quarterfinals game is being played at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. Battling to advance to the Semifinals are the Ysleta Indians and the Wichita Falls Coyotes (white jerseys). Early in the game Coyote passer Gene Hill dropped back and flipped a pass. The ball is shown midair on the way to the receiver. Moments later, Clifton Davidson (85) snared the ball in the end zone for the game's first touchdown. He beat Indian Roger Brown (73) on the play. Wichita Falls went on to win 21-0 and will advance to the semifinals. The young men on the field are all in football uniforms and leather helmets, with the exception of the bystanders at the edge of the field. The stadium bleachers are full of audience members and a speaker pointed toward the stands is mounted on a pole. "(Star-Telegram Photos by Wilburn Davis.)" Published Star-Telegram Morn..
