Description
Bruce Alford is a young end on the Texas Christian University football team. Although only twenty years-old, he has displayed great leadership qualities in past seasons. Because of these qualities, the all-conference end is one of the Frogs new captains for the 1942 season. Alford works at a filling station, fixing automobiles. He is shown in the garage, adjusting the radio between jumps. He is dressed in a collared shirt, leather coat, and trousers. Underneath the radio are cans of Motor Oil in different brands - Texaco, Mobil Oil, and Conoco. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 10, 1941.
