Description
The bi-district schoolboy classic is being held in Witchita Falls, Texas. Competing in the high school football game are the Lubbock Westerners (white jerseys) and the Wichita Falls Coyotes. In the second quarter of the state playoff game, Westerner Milner Thorne (16) is shown with the ball. The powerful halfback is reversing field for a ten-yard gain. He was brought down from behind by Coyote defensive tackle Jim Foster (15) at midfield. The Coyotes went on to win the game 30-13 with second half passing wizardry. The audience in the bleachers is in view in the background. A metal pole has a loudspeaker part way up the post, and residential homes are in view beyond the bleachers.
