Description
The high school state Bi-District game is being played at Farrington Field in Fort Worth, Texas. Battling to advance to the semifinals are the Amon Carter Riverside Eagles (white jerseys) and the Sunset Bison. Sunset's darting, plunging back, Bill Blackburn (37) is shown carrying the ball. He is in the midst of one of his sudden "stop-go-stop" acts as he ripped of an eighteen-yard run. Throwing a block for his teammate is Welch (40). The Eagle defenders being twisted by Blackburn's sharp cuts are David Coon (30) and H. C. Nolte (45). Sunset went on to win 14-0. "(Star-Telegram Photos by Tom Dillard.)"
