Description
The high school state Bi-District game is being played at Farrington Field in Fort Worth, Texas. Battling to advance to the semifinals are the Amon Carter Riverside Eagles and the Sunset Bison. Husky Sunset tackle, Marlin Jordan, was unable to play in the game due to the broken leg he sustained earlier in the season. He is shown reclining on a portable stretcher on the sidelines. Three Sunset yell leaders are working to cheer up the injured player. They are left to right Netta Edward, Bettie Powers, and Patty Utgard. The girls are wearing collared blouses with a '41 sweater and skirts. Jordan is dressed in a Sunset sweatshirt. Sunset went on to win the game 14-0. "(Star-Telegram Photo.)"
