    Description

    Captain Edward C. Moore Junior, in charge of the Fort Worth district of military policemen. The detachments were in operation in five key Texas cities, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, El Paso and Fort Worth, under direction of the 8th Corps Area provost marshal. The detachment will make sure visiting soldiers create a favorable impression in the public eye. The detachment is set up in the old City-County Hospital building, Fourth and Jones Streets, with four non-commissioned officers and nine privates as personnel. The ground floor is used for offices and top as barracks. Captain Moore is shown sitting at a desk, holding a few papers and a pen in his hands. He is dressed in military uniform and is smiling widely at the camera. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 2, 1941.
