Description
The Texas Christian University football team is hosting the visiting Southern Methodist University at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. The Mustangs are shown putting up mighty resistance to keep Kyle Gillespie from scoring a touchdown. Gillespie (40) is laying on the turf after a hard hit stopped his plunge on the three yard-line. With the stop, the Frogs turned the ball over on downs and the first quarter came to a close. Also pictured are Frogs Bill Crawford (61), Jim Woodfin (56), Frank Medanich (10), Frank Kring (30), and Bruce Alford (83). The Mustangs are Preston Johnston (37), Samuel Young (20), Clarence Booth (73), and Ronald Goss (80). The Frogs narrow 6-0 lead was surrendered on the next drive.
