Description
The Texas Christian University football team is hosting the visiting Southern Methodist University at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. The Frogs' promising young sophomore center, Jim Woodfin (56) made his presence known. He caught two interceptions during the game, the last of which is shown here. The Mustang passer, Red Maley (40), is being rushed by Derrell Palmer (71). Palmer deflected the course of the ball, and it fell into Woodfin's hands. He returned the ball eight yards to the Mustang thirty-two, late in the fourth quarter. The Frogs went on to win the exciting grudge battle 15-13. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 2, 1941.
