Description
Captain Maximilian Foret-Mautner, who escaped from France with a new invention, a coin operated chair which takes blood pressure automatically, demonstrates its function to Miss Lou Buklow, whom he has trained to read its French label indicators. Miss Burlow is shown sitting in the coin-operated chair looking on at Mr. Foret-Mautner handling the machine. Attached to the chair is a device that looks similar to a blood pressure reader, which Miss Burlow had her arm strapped to. She is wearing a dark, short-sleeve dress with lace detaileing and Mr. Foret-Mautner is wearing a striped suit. Behind them are various shop displays for gum, mints and other small items. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 28, 1941.
