Description
Bryan A. Waggoner, 45 year old employee of the Fort Worth Paper Company, shown in bed, with his wife at his side. He drove a loaded truck to Lubbock after suffering severe hand and face burns in a gasoline tank explosion near Ranger, TX, Saturday night (11/15/1941). The explosion killed seven and injured a score of others. Another driver brought him back to Fort Worth Monday (11/17/1941) and he entered St. Joseph's Hospital. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, Nov. 18, 1941. Shirtless man in reclining hospital bed, his bandaged right hand in a container of liquid and a woman (wife) seated beside him wearing a hat, blouse and large necklace.
