    Description

    Sylvanie Garden Club flower show attendee Mrs. Ben G. Oneal of Wichita Falls, Texas. Mrs. Oneal is shown standing behind a table with the chrysanthemums that won her the "Purple Ribbon for Horticultural Achievement". The flowers are arrayed on the table and are displayed in a variety of vases. Mrs. Oneal is wearing a dark, long-sleeve dress with a tall hat and behind her are framed pictures of young girls hanging on the wall. Mrs. Oneal showed some of her outstanding specimen blooms to illustrate her talk on "Growing Prize Winning Chrysanthemums" at the Women's Club. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 23, 1941.
