Description
Soldiers of the 142nd Infantry, 36th Division pitched a camp for 3,000 men just west of Fort Worth Sunday afternoon for an Armistice Day Celebration. In command of the motor convoy which moved 3,000 troops of the 36th Division from Camp Bowie to a temporary camp site on the Benbrook Highway west of Fort Worth Sunday was Lieutenant Colonel Karl E. Wallace of Arlington, Texas. Also a former district WPA director, here he is seen looking into a chest of military records such as must accompany the units even for a three-day camping trip such as the men are on.
