Description
These members of the Royal Neighbors drill team are among the many women and girls who will be on Fort Worth streets Tuesday selling poppies for benefit of disabled veterans and families. Left to right, Madam (Mme.) Armand Choate, Mme. Leon Alexander and Mme. Henry Phillipson. The sale is sponsored by Blackstone Post, American Legion, and Auxiliary, of which Mrs. Craig Laine is president. Mrs. E.W. Kelley is poppy sale chairman. Proceeds go to disabled veterans in hospitals, who make the poppies, and for child welfare and rehabilitation of families of disabled veterans. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition November 9, 1941.
