Description
The Girls' Service League recently bought the old Winfield Scott Home on Pennsylvania Avenue to use as a home for underprivileged girls. The 18 room mansion is equipped with a spacious kitchen. Two resident girls are shown in the kitchen, taking time out of their high school studies to prepare hot biscuits for the evening dinner. Housekeeping and homemaking are among the careers taught by the League. Both girls are wearing aprons as they place the biscuits on a baking sheet.
