Description
Major H. R. Baxter is the executive officer at Sloan Field, a new Army Air Corps training facility. The Field is rapidly taking shape near Midland, Texas. The new training facility will provide twin engine advanced training and a bombardier school. The barracks and service building are ready for occupancy while hangar row is still under construction. Major Baxter is shown sitting at his desk, dressed in a military uniform. His desk is covered with papers, gloves, a fly swatter, and an ashtray.
