Description

Fort Worth's rejuvenated Little Theater aims to be everyman's theater. It hopes to be a democratic meeting ground for persons of every walk of life with a mutual love for the theater. The actors and workers behind the scenes have much to do with the success of a production. The Little Theater's second production of the season will be "First Lady", sophisticated drawing room comedy laid in Washington, D.C. with Gene Crotty directing. Here, Christine Stone applies the makeup for Betty Jo Copeland as Doris Jean Bridgess looks on. Miss Stone is shown using an eyebrow pencil on Miss Copeland, as Miss Bridgess holds a small container of cold cream and watches. Miss Copeland is sitting at a dressing chair and has a towel on her head that Miss Stone is keeping in place. Miss Copeland is wearing a skirt, blouse and a long, pearl necklace. On the table, an array of makeup products are scattered about. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 23, 1941.
