Description
Working under a new coach this season, the W. C. Stripling Junior High School football team has put together a strong record. Robert Groseclose, the former track and cage star at Texas Christian University, filled the head coach position. His squad, left to right, on the front row are Gene Pettigrew, Gene Culberson, Lynn Wade Wright, Doyle Gilbert, Fred Valentine, Joe Caughey, and Jack Armstrong. On the second row are Clair Rich, J. A. Squyres, Frank Coffey, Tommy Feik, Tom Williamson, Bobby Keller, and Swayne Cummings. On the third row are Billy Childers, A. W. Montague, Bobby Way, Buddy Young, Gene Farley, Coach Groseclose, Bob McGee, Jack Thomason, Edgar Boggs, and Joel Amyett.
