Description
On a slope at the west edge of Sycamore Park, long rows of "winterized" tents -- canvas-covered wooden frames, have been erected for the soldiers' recreation camp being established here. The camp will accommodate 500 soldiers. This view shows the setting of the camp, with the park and Polytechnic High School in the background. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 30, 1941.
