Letters from Eugene Victor Debs to Frank X. Holl titled "Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen (BLF). The first letter was written on March 1, 1892 and in it Debs discusses the "two bills now pending in Congress regulating promotion of United States army officers" to Holl. The second letter was written on July 13, 1992 and it is a reply to Holl regarding his previous request to change his address. The third letter was written on October 3, 1892 and it is a reply to Holl praising him for his "diagram" of coming events. The fourth letter was written on January 23, 1893 and in it Debs thanks Holl for his endorsement of the January magazine issue. The fifth letter was written in August 22, 1894 and it Debs shows Holl sympathy regarding him being "sacrificed in the recent changes at Fort Snelling". After the fifth letter the title of the letters changes to "American Railway Union (ARU). The sixth letter was written in October 3, 1894 and it discusses Debs's plans to Holl to strengthen and better equip the American Railway Union (ARU). The seventh letter was written on October 15, 1894 and it states Debs plan to speak in Terre Haute to Holl. The eight letter was written on November 28, 1984 and it in Debs announces to Holl his plans to quit the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen (BLF). The ninth letter was written on December 8, 1894 and it Debs informs Holl of his intent to build up the American Railway Union (ARU) and his upcoming events. The final letter was written on December 31, 1894 and in it Debs announces his plans to hold a meeting for the American Railway Union (ARU) and encourages Holl to invite people to have the "largest possible audience".
