Description
The album of images is from the Works Progress Administration Hands Across America Exhibit, staged at Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth from from April 25-May 14, 1939. This exhibit highlighted the Works Progress Administration - sponsored programs in domestic arts, sewing, theater, puppetry, music, and more. This album, which was handmade by WPA artists, is wonderful documentation of a pivotal time in Tarrant County. Along with the images taken from the exhibit, several newspaper clippings are included that piqued the readers' interest in the Works Progress Administration Hands Across America Exhibition.
