Abstract
This learning module designed in Canvas provides instructional materials for fundamental research skills for university students. Instructors are provided a brief guide for how to set up the module for customized use. The learning activity provides differentiated instruction, allowing students to choose between a self-paced Word Document, a "chunked" Slides variation, and a link to a guided video walkthrough to pair with the written activity options. The video can be played in class or provided as an option for independent study. Content covered includes: Research question generation, keyword identification, boolean operators & filtering, and citation fundamentals. Content theme concerns the generation of an annotated bibliography from diverse sources.
Materials are provided under Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0 and therefore may be edited or customized for use.
