Abstract
Learn about the challenges posed by a complete HVAC failure that caused interior flooding and how to overcome them and institute recovery processes to restore the archives of an academic library. This poster presentation will discuss all major aspects of disaster relief, including the methods of disaster relief contractors, equipment needed, and personnel involved. As a case study, it presents the experience and lessons learned of one library in the face of a water disaster, but is also a call for proactive preparation for future disasters at other libraries.
