Abstract
Nurses provide the majority of healthcare in the United States. But despite efforts to increase the workforce, the number of jobs still exceeds the number of nurses - a shortage that is predicted to grow. Dr. Carolyn L. Cason - professor, associate dean for research and the founder and administrator of the Smart Hospital and the Genomics Translational Research Lab - will discuss the nursing shortage and its potential effects on everyone’s care.
