Description
Designed by Texas architects Wyatt C. Hedrick (1888-1964) and Elmer G. Withers (1881-1938), the Fort Worth City Hall was built as part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) federal program. The clean lines and square profile of the architecture is a prime example of the Moderne style within the Art Deco movement. The building was completed in 1938 and served as Fort Worth's City Hall for 40 years. It is now the Public Safety and Courts building.
