Description
Students of the North Texas Agricultural College Aeronautics program. This photo was printed in The Shorthorn on April 18, 1940, with a caption reading "Above are Roze McCoy and Dorothy Glanton of Fort Worth, first girls to enter the C.A.A. [Civil Aeronautics Authority] class at N.T.A.C. [North Texas Agricultural College]. Both are now well on their way toward their private licenses. Dorothy Glanton was the first girl in Texas to solo in the program sponsored by the Civil Aeronautics Authority." Two women are standing next to a a single engine prop airplane. Both women are wearing light colored coveralls. The woman on the left has both of her hands in her pockets. The woman on the right has her hands by her side.
