Description
Amon G. Carter party for Elsa Maxwell held at Carter's Shady Oaks farm. In this photograph we see Ms. Maxwell sitting in the front passenger's seat of an open automobile. The driver is unidentified. Mr. Carter is in the back seat behind the driver; an unidentified woman is sitting behind Ms. Maxwell. Additionally, there is a man costumed as a Native American standing alongside the car. Everyone in the automobile is laughing and wearing overcoats and cowboy hats. The costumed man is wearing a feathered head dress and buckskin clothing.
