Copy of old photograph of Mr. George "Press" Farmer. He, his wife, Jane Woody Farmer and daughter Susan Ann Farmer were the "first family" of Fort Worth and lived in a tent on the present site of the Tarrant County Courthouse in May 1849. Jane gave birth to the first Tarrant County-born white baby, son Jacob Farmer, born May 5, 1854.
