Description
Fort Worth Mayor Bob Bolen shakes hands with and presents Nobel Prize winner Jerome Friedman, an MIT physicist, a key to the city of Fort Worth. Friedman was visiting Fort Worth to attend a symposium to discuss new technology for the Superconducting Super Collider. Friedman and two colleagues shared the prize for their work in finding the first evidence of quarks, subatomic particles that are basic building blocks of matter and nature's smallest known particles.
