Description

Aaron Smiley, left, 16, and Frederic Armstead, demonstrate a spinning wheel attached to strings. When pulled, the disc spins, making gyrating patterns with the black marks on it. The students from the School for Science and Engineering Professions at Dunbar High School brought handmade toys that were geometric experiments and demonstrated them to second-, third-, and fourth-graders at Maudrie M. Walton Elementary. Dunbar geometry teacher Joe Feldstein said students were graded on the project.
