Maudrie M. Walton, 81, who announced recently she is retiring as a member of the Fort Worth school board, reads to the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes at Maudrie M. Walton Elementary School in Fort Worth. The reading was part of the celebrity reading program at the school and was conducted in conjunction with Black History Month.
