Marynell Wallace, left, and Alice Sobel, right, are both members of the Arlington Area Newcomers Club. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month where people can meet others from Arlington, Grand Prairie, and Mansfield. The club, established in 1953 by Martha Wicker and Helen Rogers, currently has about 136 active members and 25 past presidents.
