Teresa Blackburn, Dee Cooper, and Sharon Bell, left to right, clapped their hands to the music during the 1983 Juneteenth Blues Festival at Sycamore Park in Fort Worth. The concert, which featured Chicago bluesman Byther "Smitty" Smith, was the first of a weekend-long series of events for Juneteenth.
