Image shows special prosecutor Larry Baraka, left, talking with defense attorneys, Joe Canon and James Stafford. The verdict on the three Limestone County Officers and their involvement in the three drownings at Lake Mexia were acquitted. The officers, Sheriff's Deputy Kenny Elliott, Reserve Deputy Kenneth Archie and Adult probation officer David Drummond were charged with negligent homicide. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition April 18, 1982.
