Description
Image shows members of UTA's crime scene investigation class preparing to make a cast in order to preserve evidence found in crime area. Officer Bill Russell used tweezers to fill a pill box with bloodstained gravel. They are shown logging in evidence list. The body, clad in jeans and gray sweatshirt, lay in dry grass beside the narrow road behind UTA Mini Nature Center, the victim of a hit and run accident. sixteen law enforcement officers from 10 various Tarrant and Dallas County agencies recently completed a summer course in crime scene search and evidence preservation. Investigators learned methods of pouring casts and taking photos, to form more lasting record of crime scenes, as well as the importance of preserving that evidence for court presentation.
