Description
Former and current high school students from Dallas Carter High School and Hillcrest High School sentenced to jail in 195th District Court for armed robberies. They are all seen wearing suits in front of a jail cell, handcuffed to each other on a chain. Story reads "Calling them criminals who committed in six months 'more armed robberies than Bonnie and Clyde did in their lifetime,' a judge [Joe Kendall] sentenced 12 former and current Carter and Hillcrest high school students to up to 25 years in prison... The teenagers, including six former members of Carter's 1988 Class 5A state championship football team, had confessed to 21 armed robberies committed between Dec. 22 and June 20 before the highly publicized, emotional case culminated yesterday." Published in the September 23, 1989 edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
