Image shows Carolye Asfahl, UTA, at Athletic Congress Youth National Track & Field Championship at UT- Arlington. She finished strong in the final event in the young women's heptathlon. Asfahl is from Lamar High School, 17, Elite Track Club, and won the 800 meter run in 2 minutes, 28.85 seconds, a personal best, and finished with 4,242 points. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition July 6, 1989.
