Description

Janet Smith shows her 5-year-old daughter, Kelly, some of the Barbie dolls she used to own as a child. The dolls are on display as part of an exhibit in Prestonwood Center in North Dallas as part of a nationwide tour with Mattel and jewelry and fashion designer BillyBoy. The exhibits, called "imagination stations," meshed with the BillyBoy Retrospective and New Theater of Fashion. The retrospective was an American unveiling of highlights from two of BillyBoy's collections; one displayed more than 300 Barbie dolls dressed by some of the world's most famous designers, and the other included 400 dolls from BillyBoy's personal collection and represented the history of fashion from 1959 to the present.
