Image shows a garage at The University of Texas at Arlington. In the center is a race car, while in background is UTA professor Bob Woods, left, and Stewart Price, right, beside a computer. They are building the race car for a National Society of Automotive Engineers competition in Detroit. UTA teams will compete against 20 teams from across the country to determine which students built the best Formula car. Number 85 car came in third place in last year's competition. The cars cost $5,000 to make, local companies have donated money to buy the car parts and to pay for students travel expenses. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 19,1986.
