Image shows Ray Bell kneeling in fron of the Prince Hall Masonic Mosque at 2213 E. First St. in Fort Worth. The cross shaped, red brick building with seating for 3,000 people drew big name musicians of the era. The Mosque, or Grand Lodge was the hub of African American social life. The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, a African American fraternal organization, voted to sell it. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition July 27, 1985.
