Clipping reads: "Texas Rangers manager Billy Martin instigated an argument with the umpires before the first pitch was thrown in Saturday's game with Oakland and their conversation was being taped for reasons known only to Martin. The umps are Bill Haller, center, and Ron Luciano. Visible on Martin's person are the microphone and wire leading to recorder in back pocket."
