Description
The first of 200 Italian Cyprus trees were planted along 8th Avenue by Ryan Place Improvement Association. Participating were Joan Kline, right, representing the association; country Commissioner Dick Anderson, left. and Manuel Jara, president of the South Side Business Association and director of the South Side Lions Club, groups which donated some of the trees. The association hopes to plant 795 trees to screen the railroad switching area along 8th Avenue. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition February 20, 1974.
