Grand opening ceremonies took place at the new Firestone Store in the Six Flags Mall. Ron Ward, manager of the new store, took oversized to cut the ribbon while Dr. W. H. Nedderman, University of Texas at Arlington, left, and Arlington Mayor Tom Vandergriff assisted. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition February 15, 1974.
