    Description

    Groundbreaking ceremony for the Como Community Center, located between Manhattan and Vickery, near Horne on January 16, 1971. The center, which is financed with city and federal funds, will have recreational facilities, officers, a clinic, and a daycare nursery. Shoveling the dirt at the ceremony are, from left, the Rev. J. W. Briscoe, T. Z. Hamm, Buford Eddington, Bill Sarsgard, H. D. McMahan, David Payton, and Mayor R. M. "Sharkey" Stovall.
