Tommy G. Mercer, owner of the Fort Worth Braves, writes a $500 check for the children on the rolls of the Star-Telegram Milk and Ice Fund. With him are, left to right, players Ted Polser and Fred Polser and Coach John Hatley. The amount included proceeds from the game between the Braves and the Shreveport Oilers benefiting the Star-Telegram charities.
