Robert H. Widmer, front, vice president of research and engineering at General Dynamics, was named Engineer of the Year by Fort Worth Chapter of Texas State Professional Engineers, Dr. Wendall H Nedderman, dean of the School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington presented a plaque to Widmer during the Engineers Ball at Ridglea Country Club. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition February 23, 1969.
