Description
Jack Grant, staff musical director for KFWT, Channel 21. Clipping reads "[Grant] has been a professional musician since the age of 14, having played piano with Johnny Long, Bunny Berrigan, and Charlie Barnett bands in the early days. After leaving the Air Force as a captain in 1953 after 14 years service, the Baltimore native settled in Fort Worth and since 1955 has has his own orchestra playing local dates. Grant's trio is the 'house' combo for Channel 21, making music regularly on the station's 'Southwest Showcase' variety hour. In addition, he leads a larger group Sundays on a live musical program called 'The Big Band Sound.'"
